Steel Curtain's 1975 Pittsburgh Steelers RC Gallery

Below you'll see scans of rookie cards of the 1975 Pittsburgh Steelers. The team went 12-2 in the regular season with losses to Buffalo (30-21) and the LA Rams (10-3) before defeating the Colts and Raiders in the playoffs, which set up Super Bowl X, the first SB matchup between the Steel and the Cowboys, at the Orange Bowl in Miami on Jan. 18, 1976. Dallas took a 10-7 halftime lead and that remained the score entering the fourth quarter, when the Steelers struck for 14 points on a 64-yard pass from QB Terry Bradshaw to WR Lynn Swann, a safety by Reggie Harrison and two FGs by Roy Gerela to take a 21-10 lead. Cowboys QB Roger Staubach threw for a late touchdown to Percy Howard but it wasn't enough as the Steelers won, 21-17, to claim their second and second straight Super Bowl title. Second-year WR Lynn Swann was the MVP of the game after grabbing 4 passes for 161 yards and 1 TD, including one of the best catches in Super Bowl history while falling on top of Cowboys safety Cliff Harris. RB Franco Harris rushed for 82 yards and Bradshaw threw for 209 yards and 2 TDs with 0 INTs. The Steel Curtain defense had 3 picks off Staubach.

The cards pictured show either the player's rookie card or their first appearance on a card (if it's a team leaders card or something like that.) I also threw in my '01 Donruss Classics Frenchy Fuqua jersey card scan of his jersey from the "Immaculate Reception" game in the 1972 season.
